College Admissions Consulting
As an educational professional, Dr. Joe has added thorough study to his personal experience of attending a small private college, a large public university, and an Ivy League graduate school. His guidance has helped students attain admission at their first-choice colleges including selective programs at Big 10 universities, Ivy League colleges, and U.S. military academies.
Dr. Joe tailors his college admissions consulting to individual students’ needs. His services include:
- identifying colleges that fit students’ academic interests, personal circumstances, and career goals
- guiding the organization of academic and extracurricular portfolios
- assisting parents with FAFSA preparation
- editing students’ essays; and
- preparing students for interviews.
The fee for College Admissions Consulting is $315 for the initial three-hour package of services. Additional services are available at $75 per hour. During the COVID pandemic restrictions, consulting will be done remotely.
K-12 Tutoring
Dr. Joe’s Learning Center tutors are teachers with the knowledge and experience to meet the specific needs of learners from kindergarten to grade 12.
Services begin with parents or guardians talking with Dr. Joe about their child’s goals. He will then assign a professional educator to help the student attain his or her learning potential.
Whether a student needs a few sessions to understand a difficult concept or ongoing support, the tutors selected by Dr. Joe have excellent records of helping students make progress toward their education goals.
The fee for tutoring is $50 per hour. For younger students this could be divided in to two, 30-minute tutoring sessions.
Due to COVID, tutoring will be available remotely or at our facility where students and instructors wear masks and follow social distancing precautions .
Standardized Test Preparation
Whether a student needs assistance with state tests or college admission exams, Dr. Joe can help. His expertise has prepared students for
- State-mandated tests
- PSAT
- ACT
- SAT
Individual test preparation is $60 per hour; $210 for four one-hour meetings.
